If you ask me, the tropical areas of the world are some of the most incredibly gorgeous places you can ever visit. Add in some of the coolest, most fascinating animals and plants in the entire world and you've got a veritable paradise. If I were to be given a large sum of money to travel anywhere in the world, I would absolutely choose somewhere tropical.
It makes me so happy to see the inspiration from these completely amazing places in fashion and art. The tropical trend happening right now might be my favorite trend of all time. And that is really, really saying something. All the tropical birds and fruits, bright colors mixed with greens...it just feels so right. I die over every banana leaf pattern I see. It doesn't help that pretty much EVERYONE I KNOW has gone to Hawaii recently or is going soon. My Instagram is swimming with the most envy-inducing photos....it's killing me. I'm sure that's a huge factor of why I'm so drawn to these tropical patterns....they've got vacation written all over them (slash they remind me of Adventureland in Disneyland and I sure do love that place).
I've compiled some of the tropical images of fashion and patterns that have been inspiring me lately. And making me really want to empty our savings account and hop on a plane.
Toucans, brightly colored exotic fruits, big green banana leaves, pineapples, parrots, palm leaves, pops of pinks reds oranges and yellows mixed with mellow green and blue shades....so good.
