Frippery Friday: Hair Accessory Haul

I have this thing where I need accessories like, all over me, or my outfit feels entirely incomplete. Do you guys have this problem too?? I never leave the house without at least a necklace on. I've gotta have my finishing touch, you know?

Some of my favorite accessories are hair ones. I just swoon over those adorable hair bows & headbands on Pinterest all day long. You know what I'm talking 'bout. Girl I know you do. 

A weekend ago Robyn and I went to Forever 21 in Salt Lake and I bought a BUNCH of cute hair things...like, so many that I had to put back a shirt I was going to buy because I was going to go over my spending limit. Oops. BUT I've had so much fun with them that it inspired me to share with you some of my favorite ways to wear such accouterments! Finding easy ways to look Pinterest-y is always a happy thing, right? :)

Asymmetrical bow:

{Twist hair on either side of the head towards one side of the head to make it asymmetrical and ponytail it. Finish off with a bow.

Headband twist:

{This style is surprisingly easy and done with a stretchy headband. Put it over your hair and tuck the ends of the hair into the headband. Leave random pieces out. Don't be afraid to make it look messy!

Twist with bow:

{Gather a little hair from either side of the head and twist to the back middle. Bobby pin it in place, and finish with a big bow.

Dutch braid pony with bow:

{Dutch braid hair to one side of the head. When you get to the nape of your neck, ponytail it. Pull the braid so it's nice and thick and spread out. Finish with a bow.

Ponytail and bow:

{This one's really simple. Gather hair into a mid pony and secure it with a ponytail. Pull hair to loosen so you don't look bald - that's a no-no. Finish with a bow.

Teased crown & headband:

{All you've gotta do is brush all your hair back, put a stretchy headband around your head and under your hair, and slide it up to your hairline. Tease (the fancy term for ratting your hair) the hair just past the headband at your crown to give it lots of volume. Use hairspray!}

 Pony with metal ponytail wrap:

{This one is exactly the same as the ponytail and bow style....except you use one of those cool ponytail wrap accessories:) This one is from H&M a couple years ago, but down below I've given you a link for a couple you can buy now.}

Bun with a bow underneath:

{One of the easiest, cutest, greasy/messy hair day styles you can ever do. Put your hair in a bun - whichever kind you like - and clip a bow underneath it. The bigger the bow, the better! Then grab your cat and sling him/her over your shoulder and procede with your day. Jk. Kind of.
