Purrs and Grrs from Robyn's week

purr: Going to see Secret Garden at the Scera Theater on Thursday with Mal. The Secret Garden musical is incredibly near and dear to my heart and it was so fun to share it with my best friend. The award-winning youth theatre group Acting UP performed and Lily and Archibald were just incredible. My mom and my sisters Grace and Eliza and I were in this play when I was in high school, but this was the first time I had actually seen it. It was even more touching than I thought it would be (teared up like three times) and I am so happy that I finally saw it. We learned too that all of the proceeds from Scera ticket sales go back into supporting the local theatre aspect of the theater, so I will definitely be seeing more movies there from now on! 

grr: That I haven't practiced French enough lately. How am I supposed to encourage myself to save money to go to France if I am embarassed by my French?

purr: When Mal and I went to Sweet Tooth Fairy on Thursday for intermission sweets and, upon entry, one of the two girls who were already in there turns around, sees us, and immediately says with such genuine excitement and kindness, "You girls are soo beautiful!!" We were sooo surprised and thankful! Stuff like that never happens to me. The girl reminded me of the power of kindness, as well as the power of being happy. Mallory and I had been laughing when we walked in the door. 

grr: Spending waaaay too much time on picking giveaway winners for work. I didn't get enough other things done and I feel really annoyed about that. Ah well, live and learn. 

purr: I was told on Friday that I am a sun faerie and was quite pleased by that description.

grr: I learned a few weeks ago that my favorite show, All Creatures Great and Small, has been taken off of Netflix and it still HURTS MY HEART every time I want to watch it and I can't! This show was made years ago and is set in Yorkshire, England. It's about a British country vet in the 30s and it is soo, soo good. All of the seasons were available at Costco over the holidays but I didn't get them because NETFLIX and now I deeply regret that decision. I looked on Amazon and pretty much choked when I saw the price- over TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for the collection!! See Universe this is what happens when I don't buy the things I want when I want them. . .

purr: Wishing for someone to go to lunch with on Wednesday and then having my doll McCall show up at my desk with an empty stomach! Since I have moved to corporate I don't get to see her much anymore annd she had been gone in Hawaii so it was an extra wonderful surprise!

grr: I've spent too much money lately. #food #citycreek

purr: Going to Coldstone with Mallory and more dear friends on Friday night and tasting the CHOCOLATE CAKE BATTER ice cream. I got it with a cookie dough mix-in and the guy gave me a huuuge scoop even though I asked for the smallest size. I gave him a tip and then all the employees sang their holla we got a dolla song, at which point I was embarrassed. 

purr: It is almost six on Sunday evening, I am watching a documentary on wolves, the sun is still shining, the birds are chirping and flowers are blooming outside my window.
